1.7: Bonus Levels


Features:

  • Modloader: enable and disable mods in the Options menu under "Manage Mods"
  • Bonus Levels: the new Bonus Levels mod contains ten new bonus levels unlocked throughout the campaign. Each one unlocks a unique new piece of equipment. They are:
    • Team Reload [utility]: when you use your ability, reload the held weapons of everyone on your team (including you).
    • Shield Projector [primary weapon]: creates a short-range low-damage shield that deflects incoming projectiles.
    • Out of the Breech [flaw]: briefly phase out the first time you shoot after reloading.
    • Repulsor Field [ability]: creates a burst of reflectors around yourself to deflect incoming projectiles.
    • Shell Casing [defensive]: creates a burst of reflective projectiles when you reload.
    • Energy Start [energy]: start with 16% energy when you respawn.
    • Reload Drone [utility]: you get a permanent drone (like Crit Drone) that doesn't attack but periodically reloads your offhand weapon.
    • Shield Drone [defensive]: you get a permanent drone with a shield deflector attack. It's a weaker version of the Shield Drone ability drone.
    • Lord of the Fireflies [flaw]: while you are in combat, periodically sacrifice shields to create reflector fireflies.
    • Double Drone [ability]: summon both the regular drone and the shield drone with this ability
  • Custom projectile effects: projectiles created by weapons and traits can now optionally take a <custom-effects> tag to define custom projectile images. Images can be SVG or PNG and can optionally be flipped, rotated, or colored with the projectile color shader.
  • Limits to trait targets: <target> tags in traits now optionally take <limit> tags. The limit tag takes a <max> which limits the maximum number of players selected, and an optional <value> which controls the order players are selected. Higher value players are selected first, and the default is random.

Changes:

  • New appearance options three new heads, four new arms, and one new leg. Updated appearance of wire arms and legs
  • Completed levels now show their name in a different color
  • Increased explosion visual size to better match the actual range of the explosion
  • Tweaked AI objective selection in Control. They should now be better at preventing one player from running away with the game.
  • Minor updates to visuals and platforms across several maps

Bugfixes:

  • Next and Time effect now clear properly on respawn
  • Fixed the inverted scrollbars and selection buttons on the character select screen
  • Beam and explosion projectiles can now hit rockets
  • Fixed exiting Quick Match menu while the "load map from file" popup was still open
  • Walk-type summons should now work properly
  • Reload effects no longer interrupt weapon shot cooldown
